Happy 50th Earth Day
Earth Day was founded in 1970 as a day of education about the environmental issues of the day. 50 years later Earth Day is now celebrated throughout the world. Earth day was first founded by Gaylord Nelson, a J Wisconsin. The day came about after Gaylord witnessed a massive oil spill in Santa Barbara, Cal in 1969.
Gaylord Nelson’s suggestions were to bring about and to shed light on recycling, energy conservation, increasing plant and tree growth along with keeping the environment clean.
Today, April 22, 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. It's all about empowering individuals with information needed to make a impact and to drive change to make the earth a better place to live.
Happy Earth Day.
